One program in which I am particularly interested in sent me the following message via ERAS:
"Thank you for your interest in the Rodentia Medicine Program at Mickey Mouse University School of Medicine. Your applicaton has been reviewed and has been placed "On Hold". We are awating additional letters of reference or your Dean's letter. Once this information is received, your application will be reviewed again. You will receive an email once a final decision is made."
I have one additional outstanding letter of recommendation (the doc dictated it in front of me) that is on its way; however, the program is not aware of this, and I am not sure if the LOR has been mailed by the writer yet.
Does anyone have any insight into programs putting applicants "on hold"? What does this mean?
Should I do anything additionally (besides wait and get that LOR to them ASAP) to show my interest in their program?
