Ok so I finish my MCAT on saturday, I am now starting the application process. How do M.D schools look at an individual who taken the MCAT for the third time? However, my application looks very good in the realm of nonacademic learning i.e Community service, Patient exposure,Physician Shadowing, and leadership.

I don't think it makes that much of a difference. I took it three times and got in. Initially I was very worried about that too, but there are plenty of students who are in the same boat as you. I think the med schools want to see that you have improved significantly in your scores. It helps to have other things to strengthen your application such as community involvment, leadership roles, research, GRADES 🙂. So don't let the number of times you've taken the mcat bum you out.

Oh and one more thing. I was never asked about the number of times I took the mcat in my interviews, but if you are you can turn it into a positive thing by saying it shows your determination. You didn't give up 😉. Best wishes to you!
