Hello everyone!!

I am currently applying to University of Melbourne the DVM program but I am stuck in the application process. I am applying as an international student and in the application it is asking me about "which course I would like to apply for" and it gives me a drop down menu but from all of the choice that I had tried none offer the DVM program. The only close second is the PhD program but I do not think that is appropriate for me. Please help if you can.

Thank you so much,

Tonya T.

I had the same problem - it doesn't seem like that form (or their paper application, for that matter) is very equipped to deal with the DVM application. =(

You could try contacting your local University of Melbourne agent, if there is one in your area. They could give you advice or actually do the application for you.

Odd that they do a DVM, I would have expected BVSci...maybe it is under their Bachelor's programs list? I would contact admissions and ask. Good Luck!

Not to hijack this thread or anything but does anyone know the exact requirements for Melbourne's program. The site just gives a vague chemistry, cellular biology, biochemistry. Also what kind of LOR's, minimum gpa, etc. I feel like I didn't see much info on their site for that kind of thing.

They don't require LOR's although I know that some people have sent them in anyways with a request to consider them. There is some mention of the fact that if your average is 75% or better, you should apply. Also you have to have completed an undergraduate degree with a related major. They ask for a syllabus for the science credits you mentioned. Hope this helps and good luck.
