So I've had my application ready for a few weeks, but I waited forever for a teacher to reread my PS. Amcas has had my transcripts since the beginning of June. He never did it even though he said he would so I took initiative into my own hands. I finally got my application sent in a few nights ago. The next morning I had an email saying it had already been processed!! It only took them like 12 hours from when I sent it! I checked and all my classes and GPA seemed to be right, it was just weird that they did it so fast! Anyone else have any stories like this?

Regardless of what AMCAS may state publicly on the matter, this is a trend we have seen from user reports in the AMCAS Verification thread here on SDN. Early Decision applicants seem to skip to the (relative) front of the queue.

Okay, that's why you were verified so quickly. Check the AMCAS verification thread, you'll see similar results.

Ok thanks guys for the quick responses. I had no idea that they did that for the EDP group. I was expecting at least a two week wait, not 12 hours🙂

Last year when I applied ED, that is what happened. I had submitted June 28 was verified by July 8 right after my last transcript came in.

Mine was processed in about 20 minutes last year... Anyways like everyone else has said, if you apply ED, you get put in a different queue.
