Do you need a high school diploma to apply to osteopathic schools?

The reason I ask is on the application, it asks about high school graduation year and I never graduated....:scared: Here's why:

I started going to community college part time in 10th grade and kept going concurrently while I attended 11th grade. Well when senior year rolled around, my high school couldn't give me a full schedule without making me retake classes I already had credit for (from the community college and AP credits). Since I didn't want to waste time and retake classes, I withdrew from high school and went full time for another year at my community college. When I transferred to a 4 year university, they told me since I had enough hours to be a junior I didn't need to submit SAT/ACT or a high school diploma. So I never bothered to get my diploma or a GED. My university is fine with it and I'm graduating in the fall with my bachelors.

would contact the med school you are interested in. If they require a high school equivalence diploma, should be able to take the GED without too much problem and have it done.

Although it would probably be pretty ironic to have your "high school" diploma dated after your college diploma

at least it would give you something interesting to talk about at interviews.

I don't think it will be a problem.
Once you get accepted, they only ask for your college diploma. No mentioning of HS diploma whatsoever.
But then again, it'd be better to call the school and make sure.

Well, my big question is what to put into the application.

I do agree with you in that I doubt they ask for a HS diploma, so I'm not worried about that part.

I don't want to make it seem like I'm lying. On my transcripts it said I went to high school from Aug 2001 - May 2005. Which would be the dates if I actually graduated. However, I withdrew from school at the start of my 12th grade year which would have been around August 2004.

I sent an e-mail to the AACOMAS people already. I figured if I email 15 schools, they all won't agree on what I should do. However, I'll probably get to e-mailing them tomorrow.
