application question about transcripts

hi, i just had a question that hopefully some people know the answer to - I took some classes in high school at a community college and they don't fulfill any requirements or anything, so i was wondering if i need to get transcripts sent from that community college to the optometry schools i'm applying to?

i think my college transcripts should show that i received credits at that school anyway, and some of the optometry applications only seem to ask me to list courses taken at community colleges after high school...? so my question is, do i need to send transcripts to the schools from the community college? thanks in advance! 😍

I would just to be safe! Better to send them in and the school not need them than turn everything in, wait to hear back, and find out they did want them! I took 4 classes through the local CC my senior year in high school. I transferred the credits to the university, but still requested the transcripts from the CC. Generally they don't charge to get transcripts... so why not?

Have them sent. Schools will find out what classes you took at the college level and where. They want to see everything.

I'm pretty sure SCO had me send in a transcript from the CC I took classes from in high school.

thanks for letting me know everyone! i'm heading back to my college tomorrow, so it's good that i got that done while i was at home. unfortunately they charged me $5/transcript and i only took 2 semesters of japanese at the CC.
