Application Question: Employers?

So this is probably a little late to be asking, considering more than half of my apps are already submitted, but better late than never, I guess.

For many applications it asks you to list most recent employers. I'm having difficulty with how to fill this in because my real "jobs" for which I get paid are not very career related (TA for a 1st-3rd grade writing class, assistant at university archives). However, I have 2 research assistantships (unpaid) that I'd rather list there--they obviously look better in terms of career relatedness--but I'm not sure that's legit since it's not a real job.

Suggestions?

Check with the schools. Most of the departments I contacted said I should include volunteer experience in that section as well.

if it's an online section i wouldn't worry too much about it if you are including your CV. half the time i just write "please see CV for complete listing"
