hello,
I'm sure this has been covered and I apologize if it has already been asked but I need some advice..

My AMCAS has been verified, but due to a voided MCAT (after verification), I am planning on applying next year. I have filled out zero secondaries. According to AMCAS, you need to notify the schools directly if one intends to withdraw after verification.

What is the best way to go about this:email or phone? or just not complete the secondaries? anyone in a similar situation?

Also, I know I would be considered a "reapplicant" according to AMCAS, but does each individual medical school differ in this classification?
Thanks!

Simply not sending in Seondaries would accomplish your purpose, but it would be more polite, especially if you plan to apply to them in the future, to formally advise them by email, phone, or snail mail that you are withdrawing from further consideration during the current cycle. No explanation need be given.

Here is a good thread on who is a reapplicant (but read the whole thing as the focus changes): http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=751302&highlight=reapplicant
