I am applying to Pod schools. I am curious how repeated classes are treated as far as the GPA calculation for pod school? Does only the most current iteration count, but all are seen, are they averaged, or is the worse mark just simply dropped?
Also, do I have to submit my application before I can see whether my transcripts have been accepted? I've been scouring the Net for awhile, and can't seem to find those answers anywhere.
Also curious if there's a recommended minimum number of shadowing hours?

Also, if I took community college classes during my high school and did not do well, do I still need to add them to the transcript

If those credits were transferred to your "main" school then yes you do. I was in the same situation.

There is no minimum number of hours needed for shadowing.
This is what is posted in AACPMAS FAQ
Q: If I have taken a course more than once, does AACPMAS take the higher grade?
A: AACPMAS will calculate both the original course and the repeated course grades in your GPA. Please note that all undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, graduate and professional coursework is included in the GPAs.

As to your other question im not totally sure what youre asking but the process goes as submitting your app to be verified and once that is complete (maybe 1 to 3 weeks) you can then choose which schools you wish to send that app to. I dont think youre able to send anything to the schools until your transcipts are verified and entered correctly.

What if those credits were never transferred?

Then AACPMAS will never know MUAHHAHAAA... assuming that you never transferred the credits and only submit the other transcripts. Thats pretty much what i did.

Thanks everyone. My question about the application and transcripts was this: from what I can tell, there is no way to see what transcripts have been received (and/or verified) by AACPMAS. For instance, when I filled out my DO application, I could see the schools I had attended and whether the transcript for them had been received. I have 6 post-sec transcripts (yes, 6), and I can't remember now if I ordered all of them, and it won't show up in my bank statement because some of them don't charge for transcripts. Not sure if that clears it up or not.

I believe if you have any credit from any college or university you have to have a transcript for it. I had credit from a high school class and a summer course from a community college and I had to send them a transcript for them. Although, the summer course was a prereq.

Sweet! Congrats! I grew up in Benton County and still cheer for Purdue. One of my biggest regrets in life is that I didn't go to Purdue with my buddies from High School that went there. Oh well. C'est la vie! What are your plans after graduation?

Awesome! Congrats. It's in my top 2 for schools I want to get into. I'll be submitting by the end of the month. Here's hoping! If you ever wanna chat via email, hit me up at [email protected]. I'd love to learn more about the process and what I can expect.
