Hey everyone,

I am getting ready to submit my ADEA application this June 🙂 - exciting and anxiety ridden. My question is, I have spent some time looking at the website and all the application requirements. In all the areas we have to enter experience and work and personal information - My question is, if I fill all this information out now, get transcripts put in, waiting on DAT scores to be officially put in by the ADA - will all this info be cleared from the application once the June 1st cycle begins. Do they expect you to restart your app information with the new application cycle?

This is my first application round so I am just paranoid about doing something wrong or inefficiently.
Also I am finishing physics in the Fall - if my transcript shows I am taking it, will this pose a problem getting an interview? Will they view me as "incomplete" since it was not completed before the application was submitted. all schools just say pre-reqs must be completed prior to matriculation...

TIA

You won't be able to input your information until June 1st. But it will be there next year if you don't receive an acceptance this coming cycle, if that's what you're asking.

Yea the application doesn't even open for the next cycle until June.

So would you guys think me finishing my pre-reqs this fall will inhibit my application at all?
Thank you for answering my first question 🙂

Not at all. There's a section for planned course work. Just put it there.

With most DS, as long as you complete the courses before matriculation, you will be fine. Many people apply between their junior & senior years, so you should be fine. It couldn't hurt to check with the individual DS websites to be sure.

Piggybacking on this thread if you don't mind!
I have not made an AADSAS account, and just to verify, I won't be able to create an account (on https://portal.aadsasweb.org) and log in until June? Is there a way I can enter my application info now? Thanks in advance!

You won't be able to input any information in until June.
My advice would be to have your transcripts sent ASAP. i'm talking like the first day you create your account and get your AADSAS number.
Then, make sure that your letters of recommendation are uploaded. Tell your professors they're due on June 1st. That way they can't wait until July and be like "oh, my bad." <- this happened to me.

get your extracurricular activities and shadowing stuff compiled too. make a list of the top 3 or so extracurricular and shadowing stuff you've done during your undergrad/last 4-5 years (not high school). they ask for how many hours you think you contributed. i say top 3 because you can only pick 3 that will go on this "coversheet."

if you have any other questions, pm me 🙂 i'd be glad to help!
