when do schools start looking at applications? I read somewhere that its usually in August?

I'm trying to see how late I can take my DAT and still be considered in this first cycle. I plan to apply beginning of June and take the DAT maybe near end of June?

It takes several weeks to process your grades. Normally the schools do not start receiving apps until 5-6 weeks after you submit your application. That 5-6 weeks begins after your application is complete and submitted. To be honest, the earlier the better because you cannot submit until you take your DAT (I'm pretty sure, not 100% though)

I just spoke to the Dean of Admissions of a dental school and he said if they receive it mid summer one or two people may glance at it, but the whole committee staff won't be around because it is the summer and they all don't get there until mid August when school is about to start. He said I will be just fine taking it mid- August so that is when i'm going to take it.

And that guy saying it takes 5-6 weeks to process? Not sure about that, I swear I read somewhere on AADSAS that you immediately find out your grade on that they are processed soon after.
