So My original App was mailed by Pharmcas on 10/04. I checked the status today and it shows revised 10/10
I called them up and they said they submitted my essay to Turnitin.com and now sending the essay?
is that normal?? and what does that mean?

Turnitin.com is where they submit all of the essays to make sure you didn't plagarize. It's possible they didn't get a response in time from turnitin.com to send it with the rest of the app (or to send the app when the system thought it would go), so they had to send it later.

If the app isn't completely processed by Thursday end of business, it won't make it into the batch for Monday's mailing. This holds true for PCAT scores, late received LoRs, etc. that would need to be mailed to the schools individually.

Mods: Nominate to merge with stickied PCAT thread.

I thought they were referring that i plagarised🙁

Okay - I had people read my PS several times and inserted their input, i thought that was not allowed🙁

It is allowed to have your statement edited and revised. As long as you did not buy/download the statement off the internet you'll be fine.

My pharmcas app has 9/05/2011 as the mail date and it says revised 10/10/2011. Why is that? The schools have said that they received my pharmcas app

I remember my school used to use turnitin.com and this is back in 2006. Basically from what i remember, you turn in your paper to their website and the computer scans it to see if there are other essays like that on the web! They are trying to see if you wrote the essay or you used someone else's ore just got it online. One problem i had with that system was once you turn your paper in, now your paper will be added to the system so YOU can't even use your own paper for yourself anymore for the future because it will flag it as this paper has been written before by someone and it's not original. I had that problem where i submitted my paper from my previous class to my new professor and it flagged it and I had to prove that it was actually my own work that i have turn it in before!

Good luck!

I checked my paper on a website and they found no problems with it - hoping that i should be fine!

so if we don't get in this cycle. We can't use the same personal statement next cycle or revise it a little? It has to be different?

I am not sure what would be different then - I think if we apply to same schools it should work out!

So my application was sent out 8/29 and then revised 10-04.
I added an EC, could that be why it was revised?

REALLY!? are you sure about this? I will be reapplying later on and I do plan on keeping one or 2 paragraphs from my old personal statement. Would that be a problem?
