Submitted 6 out of 19 for the AMCAS schools I applied to... Am I winning? 😉 Probably not if we are talking percentagewise... I wish they would just send them out faster, like the DO schools do.

Hahaha, yes... I have applied twice before, so this time I am laying it all out there. I already have one interview invite, so I think applying early is a great strategy!

From Lake Erie Bradenton... Not even near the top of my favorite list, of which most are due to location, in Texas... Lol. But right about now, I would go to the moon to become a doctor, so it doesn't matter to me!

Lesson: Applying early matters ALOT. Believe the hype!

I do it in around an hour or so... I have a lot to get through, and I do NOT want to get behind because it will only make this cycle harder. I just get the email and get it overwith... Most of the essays are the same. And if they aren't, there can be a minor change to one that I already have to make the answer fit.

Yea I have been doing secondaries as they come. I have completed and submitted 6 so far, two will be done in the near future.

However, it is so frustrating that I wont be officially completed until my lors are in.... if it only wasnt for my health committee at my school, they have really hampered my plan of applying early.

I feel your pain. I'm expecting my committee letter sometime between now and August.

Wow, I totally thought I was the only one that was wanting to pull my hair out over this... I told my advisor in March that I needed my letters by June, all of my other writers have sent theirs to virtual evals, but the actual committee letter is still not done. Then I emailed her 2 weeks ago and she said she would have it done by the end of the week... Well, I just checked online and she still hasn’t sent it! I’m going up to the school on Monday and donating some MCAT stuff for the pre med library, while I’m there I am going to go bug her again. 😛 How hard can it be! I know she has like 100 letters to write, but she told me mine was going to be the first... And I have known her for years! We email back and forth ever so often, always friendly…

Yup, an hour... I get 4 to 5 secondaries in one day sometimes, so I have to just write things as quickly as possible and get them all out by the end of the day, which is 2pm for me because I do them at work... 🙂 I think since I have applied so many times, I have read similar questions before and I know exactly what I want to write. I’m trying not to obsess, because I can easily fall into a spiral of self doubt and perfection... The worst part of doing them so fast is the money that’s getting sucked out of my account each day. I think I spent over $600 in one day last week. Ugh… I could have bought a lot of cute clothes with that money!

ya i try to get them done with in 2 or 3 days. I have most of mine pre-written, when i receive the invite i just frwd them over to my friend to edit then once they return to me i copy paste and fill out random questions
