does anybody know if submission time plays role in increasing the percent chance of acceptance? say, like submitting applications early increases our chance to get in than submitting late, like by the end of july, or august, or sept??(for next year program)

Most schools have rolling admissions, so if you submit your application early, the better chance you have of getting in.

My understanding is that the earlier you apply, the greater your chances. Dental schools, participating in AADSAS, do not begin to notify of admission until December 1 - at which time, every seat is available. As the cycle moves along, available seats are confirmed and therefore, fewer seats are available as the application pool continues to grow until it is officially closed (application deadlines vary between dental schools).

In my opinion, if schools review applications in the order they are received, of course chances of serious consideration are greater earlier in the cycle. However, I would find it difficult to believe that July, August, or September would be considered "late." 🙂

so, what is considered late then??? 😕

I was told October (that's when the majority of applications arrive at dental schools). However, I have a good friend that applied in January (I believe that is LATE!) and is a DS1 this fall!

Everything happens in its own time...for a reason!

Unless your GPA and DAT scores are pretty competitive, you should not submit your application later than September as the time it takes to process and review your application (approx. 1 1/2 months), the schools will be starting their waitlist interview list.

Send it as soon as you can . . . it never hurts to be early

It kinduv hurt me to send in my app late, so send it in asap
