So, I would like to apply ASAP to pod school but I am not sure if I should yet... Here's my situation:

I am 3 pre-reqs short(im currently enrolled in 2 of them--the third I will complete next semester)

I have a low gpa(approx 2.85, 2.75sci)-- and I am very confident that I will be able to raise that a tiny bit this semester

I haven't taken the mcat yet(I take it later this month)

Should I apply now and just update my credentials as necessary? Or should I wait till after this semester is over and apply in Jan? I know a lot of schools will get the process going early and sometimes offer conditional acceptances but Im not sure if I fit that criteria.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I mean in all honesty .... and i hate to say stuff like this .... i think coditional exceptances are given wen they are presented with a strong gpa or standarized test .... and most pod school minimun gpa cut offs is a 3.0 .... u should work on the gpa jus a lil and focus on ur mcat ........ but you know wat apply anyway and present a very goood personal statemnet and see wat happens!!

i agree with godfather. when you want something, you must believe in yourself when things aren't the way you want. schools will make exceptions to people who can really show that they really want it. yes, you are at a disadvantage, but don't give up if podiatry is what you want!

Take the MCAT, do well, THEN apply....

many schools will see your gpa and reject you ...doesnt matter how good your letters or extracirriculars are....they mean nothing ...

After all my research into Pod schools ...I'm a firm believer in numbers....the numbers will get you in ...period....

Get a MCAT 22+ and you'll get interviews to 4/9 schools...get a 24-5+ you'll get interviews at least 7/9...the MCAT will offset your GPA...

Do not apply before you present schools with something to like you for...some will reject you the next day without looking at anything else....apply carefully! you only get one chance a year so play your cards right...

Good Luck 👍
