My summer schedule for submitting my dental application is a little wonky because I still haven't taken my DAT yet and would like some advice from anyone who has prior knowledge/experience.

Right now I'm planning on taking my DAT at the end of Aug. and have been dedicating most of my time to studying for the test. However, I have also started my AADSAS application and am a bit confused on when the best time to send it in should be.

I've heard that dental schools don't usually review applications until after the DAT score has been submitted, but if I don't send in my application until mid-August, would that be too late if I am also to expect supplementals as well?

Any info on this would be very much appreciated. 🙂 Thank you!

Just send it whenever you have the application complete as they have to get transcript verified which also takes time, and some schools will also send supplementals even without DAT score, so that way once your DAT score gets in, your application would get sent to the admissions committee right away.

Gotcha, thanks! So main application in first, then DAT.

Sending my transcripts in was the first thing I did so I'm pretty sure I have that verified already.

"Verification" = seeing if the grades you entered matches your official transcript + adjusting your grades according to the standard AADSAS scale
Thus, you need to submit your application first in order to get the "verification" process going. Just wanted to clear that up.

I see, thanks for clarifying! So does anyone know if I send in my application to one school first, will that allow for my transcript to be verified even if I haven't completed the "Program Material supplemental questions" for the other schools yet?

yes you only need to submit to one school to get the verification process started

Ok great! Also this is a random question but is it to our advantage/disadvantage to list all vs. only a few of the pre-requisite subject specific courses for the schools? Some of my grades are higher or lower than others and I'm not sure how to best proceed.

? I think you have to list all, regardless
