So VMCAS closes September 15th, and then what?

I know enrollment starts around August, but that's about it.

When do schools start asking for interviews?
When do they start sending acceptances/rejections/wait lists?
When do you have to finalize which school you choose?

Just a general range/timeline would be helpful. Thanks! 🙂

Most of that depends highly on the school. The final one is set in stone though - I want to say April 15th but you should be able to check VMCAS for that?

When do schools start asking for interviews?

Some get trucking along in October or November, and some you won't hear a peep from until February or so. Some schools don't interview at all, or don't interview out of state applicants. That's something you should probably already know (about where you have applied, I mean).

When do they start sending acceptances/rejections/wait lists?

Acceptances as early as December or so, going all the way until March. Kind of broad. Waitlists can continue to move all the way into the summer, so probably cross that bridge if it comes. Rejections often come sooner than acceptances as schools trim their applicants.

When do you have to finalize which school you choose?

You have to pick by April 15. That's the only solid, universal date in all of this.
