Hey, I'm new to this place and thought I would get your opinion on my application timeline. I am just worried that I am on the late side of things and may be hurting my chances of getting into the competetive schools. What do you think?

AMCAS submitted: 7/23/04
AMCAS transcript processed: 8/20/04

By today, 9/05/04: Have completed 5 secondary applications, have 3 that I'm currently working on, and still have yet to receive secondaries from 4 places.

Files should be complete at those first 5 places within a week as letters of recommendation arrive. Also, I've received 1 interview invitation to Ohio State already for early October.

Any honest feedback MUCH appreciated. Thanks guys.

I have another question. I know interviews have started, and lots are happening in September here. But when do schools actually start offering acceptances? I've heard Oct. 15th for many, but some (from MSAR) say in February. What about Harvard?

Also, please answer my first question in this thread too if you get the chance 🙂

Your application time line is fine. Most people are still working on secondaries.... in fact you're ahead of a lot of people 'cause you already have one interview invite.

The first day schools can accept you is October 15th. However, this is only for rolling schools. Other schools will evaluate all applicants before sending out acceptances. Check out their websites to see whether they are rolling or non-rolling. I have no idea what Harvard's policy is.

Good luck :luck:
