I have a pretty big problem. I have been planning to apply to only one school(UF) so I tailored my personal statement, on PharmCAS, to that one school. Now I want to consider two other schools( Nova Southeastern and Palm beach Atlantic) but they will not want to accept me when they see my personal statement which states how UF is my #1 choice. I was reading on the PharmCAS website that you cannot revise your personal statement once it has been e-submitted. What do I do? I don't want to have to wait until the 2006 school year to enter pharmacy school.

Ouch...you got problems. I'd try calling PharmCAS and seeing if you can sweettalk them a little. Last year they seemed pretty helpful. Next time though, make the personal statement about yourself and not about the school. They want to know why you would be good for the school, not why the school is good for you.

PharmCAS is not going to let you change that. In your personal statement, never include "School X is my #1 choice." If you want to apply to non-PharmCAS schools, that option is still there, since they will not see your PharmCAS materials.

I emailed the schools about my situation and they said I can send them a revised personal statement along with my supplemental application. I hope that works.

Good luck to you.

Thanks, I need it! I just keep having one mishap after another. I will be so happy when the whole application process is over with.
