Hey everyone!
Is it too late to apply DO for this cycle? Does it take long to be verified? Thanks on advance!
If your aren't better than or equal to 3.5/28, yes it is too late. 4-6 weeks for verification.
Thanks!

Do you have statistical data to suport this statement?

😕
I looked and saw the deadlines for many schools were in Jan, or even as far as march and April. So idk what to do. If I decide to apply, it'll be to submit tomorrow. I have a 3.5. 22 mcat am a URM. I fear my score will keep me from schools at this point in the cycle

Obviously no one can say whether or not you will be successful, it depends on where you apply/what your financial situation is. However, that 22 is really going to hurt you. But with your GPA and URM status (idk how much URM helps....probably because I'm not one lol) you MAY have a shot. In my personal opinion though, sit it out and study for another MCAT exam to apply early next year with a good score. Do what you feel is best, though, because like I said...you never know
good luck!Do you have statistical data to suport this statement?
Nope.
No one should apply late, but the stronger applicants can afford to apply later. 3.5/28 is a strong DO applicant.

A 22 is pretty low and it would be hard for you to get in even if you had applied early. You should retake your MCAT and apply next year.
He doesn't.
I don't.

You definitely have a shot because of your URM status.

Unless he/she is specifically Black/AA, then no, URM status does not help. This is supported by your data as you can see everyone but Black/AA falls around 25-27 MCAT.
I applied around august 15 last year and didn't get my secondaries sent to me until around oct 10. I got 1 interview and was wait listed. This year I applied early and already have 6 interviews. I wish I would have saved my money last year.
What were your stats last year? Maybe your stats had something to do with you not getting accepted last year...I dont think August is late at all.I applied around august 15 last year and didn't get my secondaries sent to me until around oct 10.
