Hello all,

I've got a quick question. When the AMCAS application asks for the course title, does it want the actual long name of the specific course (like "INTRO TO CREATIVE WRITING") or just a general ENGL (for "English") as it appears on your transcript?

I'm also wondering about when to put in some AP credit work. It's under the year 1996 on my transcript but the earliest you can go on the application is 1997. Should I just put all the AP stuff under my first semester?

I've been looking for answers elsewhere and gave up on contacting AMCAS. Thanks so much in advance!

Course name - I entered mine exactly as they appear on my transcript. I want no confusion when they process my stuff. 🙂

AP stuff - you're on your own with this one, I don't have a clue. Good luck. 🙂

I don't know about yours, but my transcript says, for example:

Chem xxx Organic Chem I
Phys yyy Gen Phys I

and so on...

Your course title would be the long thing ("Organic Chem I", "Gen Phys I")

and your course numbers would be xxx or yyy.

Make certain remarks such as "w/lab" or mention "English:xxxxxxxx"....

Make sure it's clear that you satisfy all the prerequisites and define them clearly in your app.... otherwise, you should follow what is stated in your transcript....
