Hi everyone!

I have a question about the appropriate timing to submit my applications to SCCO. With SCCO's rolling admission policy, would I still have a chance to wait for other schools' admission deicision?

For example, if I submit the applications for SCCO by early Oct., will I have to send the matriculation fee (assuming I was luckily accepted to SCCO) before I know the admission decision from UCB ??

Thank you 😉

SCCO is rolling admissions. you want to apply early to have a better chance in getting in...because the later you apply, there will be less seats available.

If you get accepted to SCCO, they would give you a deadline to accept or decline the offer. I would definitely pay the fee to save a seat and wait till you hear from UCBSO. UCBSO gives interviews on one day in January or February; thus, you probably won't hear from UCBSO until March or so if you got accepted or not.

best wishes to you!

When I interviewed in December, they were making decisions every Monday. So within a week of the interview you should get a response of whether you're accepted, waitlisted, or denied admission. If accepted, you have two weeks to put in the deposit.

UCBSO interviews are pretty late compared to some of the other interviews. I think this year it's January 7, and it takes awhile to hear back as well. Better to apply to SCCO early, secure a spot, interview at UCBSO, get offered admission, then make your decision. In the long run, that deposit is not going to seem like much, plus I think some of the SCCO deposit is partially refundable?

I lost $500 on a non-refundable IU deposit which didn't even have a deadline. But I like to say that I was paying for peace of mind 🙂
