When is the latest you can apply for a radiology residency program. Is mid october still pretty late? Also, what is the average number of letters that students send to the radiology residencies?

Mid-October is late.

Most programs just want to see 3 letters. The most ERAS will allow you to send is 4.

Thanks for replying. How many radiology letters would they like to see? Is one letter enough?

I've been told by quite a few people that one radiology letter is enough. Medicine and surgery letters are valued much more highly, because these letter-writers are much more aware of your work ethic, your interpersonal skills, etc.(it's hard to demonstrate these in a radiology elective). For what it's worth, I submitted 1 radiology, 2 medicine, and 1 ob-gyn.
