so I'm in my first semester of my post bacc and I feel like I should apply this coming cycle after I get my first semester grades. its looking like I will have 3.7-3.9 in 14 credits and my DAT from 2015 was a 20AA. I have 200+ shadowing hours and will be getting a LOR from the associate dean with whom I am doing research with. This is the last cycle my DAT score will be valid for most schools so I feel like I should take my chances and apply while returning for the fall semester to continue my post bacc. What do you think about my chances after one semester?

I don't think it will hurt to try. If it doesn't work out, the DMV has great benefits package and you can be rude to everyone without consequences.

I would go for it, plus you can do the update and add in the next semester. I would assume you are doing a PB because you undergrad GPA was lacking? That is the other factor, will the 14 credits be enough to boost your GPA? I was in this situation, and I called the school that I wanted to get into and asked, and they said it would be better to have a few more semesters of grad school under my belt...but I probably started with a lower undergrad than you!

I would definitely apply. What was your gpa before post bacc? Make sure you look into which schools look more favorably at a post bacc. Most schools want at least one semester which you have.

My GPA was a 3.0 in undergrad mostly because my university didn't have +/- grade scale and a careless freshman year. My thinking was I can always be reevaluated after the fall semester by some schools who think one semester of post bacc isn't enough. Someone suggested I retake the DAT this summer, but I thought that was premature because I have good score and it's not the weak part of my application. I could possibly take additional credits that would would put me at 18/19credits by the end of June. Not entirely sure if those additional credits will aid in adcoms considering my application solely based on one semester. Thoughts?

Also, could anyone point in the direction of where I could find schools whole look more favorably at post baccs?

Oh BTW! I'm in a master's of biomedical sciences program (non-thesis), not a informal post bacc in case anyone thought I meant I was in a informal post bacc haha
