Apply before the AADSAS deadline

At school yesterday, I had a fellow pre-dent ask me when the deadline is to apply to dental school and take the DAT. (She plans to apply in march for the 2007 cycle 😱 ) Her GPA is ~ 3.5. I've also previously given her the SDN address multiple times but she never checked it out. She is simutaneously applying to pharmacy school. (BTW, I asked her if she took the PMAT yet and she CORRECTED me and said pre-pharm students take the MCAT 🙄) There is a perticular reason she thinks she will still get in but I dont want to ignite a URM flame war. Anyone else experience this? Do you try to advise them to apply for 2008 or do you just tell them what they want to hear.

pre-pharmacy kids don't take the mcat...she might want to check with that... i'm pretty sure they take the pcat.

The PCAT is not required at all pharmacy schools, so its not really that surprising that she doesnt know. there is 89 some pharmacy schools, about 40 or so do not require the pcat. this list consist of big name pharmacy schools like UCSF and USC and all CA schools. If your friend is applying to dental and pharm, i certainly hope she doesnt get in.
