Kind of a noob question but...

Is what counts the date your status changes to complete? or the day you submit your primary??

as for as maximizing your odds goes.

schools don't review your app until you are complete, so you should be complete as early as possible.

but you must have your primary submitted and wait 4-8 weeks to get verified before you can start to get secondaries. so, really you must be on top of both.

If you already have sent your transcript when you submit your primary, you will be complete a lot faster.

If you submit your primary the first day available, you will be complete within 1 week and worry-free.

I haven't even thought of AMCAS ever since I was complete.

Yeah.

I was really really pissed off until I was complete since I submitted on opening day, but wasn't complete for 6 days since I had to work that morning and couldn't do it the second it opened. I was a serious neurotic pre-med that week.

The faster you submit, the faster you become complete. So both, I guess.

If i was you i would find out when amcas opens next year then send out all transcripts a week before that. The transcripts usually take the longest because you can not control it. Start sorking on your application now, and the first day amcas opens fill out info and submit. Then research SDN for secondary application prompts and start those while you are waiting for the primary completion. You can not send the secondary until the school tells you, but then you are ready when they invite you. This to me is what complete means when primaries, and secondaries are done. If you have a strong application there is a high chance that by October you will know of at least one acceptance, and then you will be like me bored because the neurotic part is over.😍😍
