Hi everyone,

I just got my May 25th MCAT scores back and I got a 13/6/10 (PS/VR/BS).

I'm not happy about the 6 in VR at all, so I registered for the August 6th MCAT.

The question is, should i send in my AMCAS now, or wait until i get the august scores. I'm afraid that if I apply now, they will basically throw away my application b/c of the "6" in VR. I'm expecting 33+ score the second time around, so I plan on applying to 20 mid tier schools and 10 top tiers.

Any advice would be helpful...

Apply now, don't wait until you get the August scores. If you do, it'll take 6-8 weeks to process your AMCAS and your applications won't be complete until November-December which is too late for many applicants. Just mark that you are taking the later exam on AMCAS and they'll process your application, but the schools will hold off looking at it until the new MCAT scores come in.
