Hey everyone,

So I have a choice to make- apply this year or wait for next cycle. Background info: I have been doing a diy post bacc for the past 2 years- my GPA isn't stellar as I have two many credits and it does little to improve my overall undergrad and science gpa. Have not finished all the prereqs yet due to some bad guidance at a previous school. So I have two plans.

Plan A: take orgo and biochemistry during summer session, apply for med school, kill the July MCAT, get accepted to med school.

Plan B: take orgo 1 and biochemistry in the fall. Orgo 2 in the spring, Take MCAT April of next year, and apply that cycle.

As for my EC's:

Shadowing Pediatric doctor- 35+ hour

Pharmacy Technician( current job)

Volunteer in ED - 50+

Research Internship- 400+ hours

Volunteer at Adult Day Center in Cambridge - 150+ hours

Volunteer as a Nursery Assistant- 150+ hours

Volunteer at Family and Children's Agency after school program- 2+ years

Student teaching- 450+ hours ( 2 different grades one for 150 hours, and the other 300 hours)

Muddy River Research Symposium- Poster presentation

ABRCMS- Poster presentation

Volunteer Sunday School Teacher- 3+ years

Math Tutor at Undergrad-2+ years

Assistantship as Academic Coach at State University- 300+ hours a semester

Played NCAA Division 3 Sports- Basketball- 3 years, Lacrosse, Soccer-2 years Cross Country- 2 years

ASL

I had a few odd jobs... as well but won't list them here. My question really is do I look like a strong enough applicant, to apply having not finished the pre-requisite as long as I do well on my MCAT? Not having taking all the pre-requisite what are my chances of doing well on the MCAT? Which plan sounds better: Plan A or Plan B?

I have been back and forth on this for soo long.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
