I have a question about applying before taking MCAT.

I take the MCAT june 17th. Should I go ahead and submit my app today with all of the schools I wish to apply to? Or, should I wait until I get my MCAT scores back (end of July) to apply to every school?

Thanks

Do it now so that when you're score arrives in mid-july, your application will be verified that day. If you wait to submit until mid-july when your scores arrive, you may not be verified until mid-late august or early september. That is a huge difference and being as early as possible helps you out a lot in this process.

The secret is to submit with only ONE school in your application...then wait for your MCAT scores, then if it's good, add more schools to your application. That way you don't waste any money, but you still get your app verified early.

Why do you need any school at all? Will they only verify it if they have schools to send it to immediately?

Also, do you have to re-verify every time you add something new (e.g., new LORs, etc.)?

thanks for the help. The reason I ask is like you said, if I end up scoring like a 25 on the MCAT and have already applied to 20 schools, it would be a waste!

So if i add schools after I get my MCAT scores back, will i be at any disadvantage? Wouldnt it be around the same time that it would take to be verified by AMCAS anyways?

I am sorry that I am hijacking this thread but my questions are somewhat related to the topic so please help me.
1) How late is it in the cycle that would really affect your application?
2) I just took the mcat last week and waiting for the score; I also signed up for July test just in case. Can I update my new mcat score after the application has been verified?
3) My personal statement is almost finished but not quite can I still get my app verified?
Many thanks to the orginal poster and people who reply.
