So I've been working on the Hopkins essays all day and finally finished and went to go submit and the Apply Yourself network keeps giving me an "Invalid Access" error when I try to load the page.

Anyone else having this issue with ApplyYourself?

It's happening for both JHU and Columbia for me...

Frustrating.. I just wanna get this damn thing off my mind.

Can someone try this website and see if it loads for them. Maybe it's just me.

It might be a browser issue (maybe). Have you tried opening it up in another browser?

i had this happen to a friend of mine a while back and this is what we did to get it working..

go to your browser and type in "about:config"

just click "ok" for the disclaimer stuff and search for the "network.http.sendRefererHeader" attribute.. make sure its value is set to "2"..

here's a knowledgebase on it if you'd like to know more:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Network.http.sendRefererHeader#2

this referrer stuff is basically for privacy/security, and by setting it at "2", you're providing info about the web page you were on when you requested the JHU site (this is called the referer header).. for example, if the setting for that attribute is "0", you won't be sending JHU a referer header and they may be automatically blocking you for security reasons.. "2" is normally the default setting on browsers, but yours might have changed? ..hope that works out

ever get this to work?.. im kind of curious to know what was wrong

Off topic I know but when I saw the title I thought this was a thread about self motivation or something 😛

Hey Radio thanks for the indepth help... It actually started working after I left my browser closed for awhile (like an hour). But your explanation sounds interesting, I'll still read up.

cool.. no prob.. interesting that it started working again after an hr.. maybe the sites were actually down for maintenance or something?.. in any case, good thing its working now
