Hi!

New to posting on this forum! When do you believe is it too late to apply this year for school? I have all the pre reqs(and I believe my GPA is fine for school) and I'm taking the MCAT in September. I haven't shadowed YET(I will really soon though) but I have volunteered in hospitals for a long time.I'm really interested in Barry primarily and I know that the class is smaller than others. So when do you think its to late to apply? Is November acceptable? Thank you so much!

November is perfectly fine. A lot of people will apply in feb/march/april and still be competitive. If your GPA is competitive (aacpm and this forum will help you figure out what is) and your MCAT is decent you'll have a legitimate shot at an interview at every school you apply to. Barry isn't particularly known for being stingy with who they accept so no need to worry there.

Make sure that you shadow. A lot of people get into podiatry for reasons that arent podiatry related (a lilttle easier to get into mainly) and may find themselves unhappy. I've only met a couple unhappy podiatrists and one of them had applied to MD school 4-5 times before chosing pod. My point is to make sure it is really what you want.
