So, I took my OAT's last week, and now I need advice.

My stats:

Overall GPA= 2.9 (very low, i know)
Pre-Req.= 2.8
AA OAT= 330
TS OAT= 350

Probably average letters of reccommendations.
Over a year volunteering with an optometrist.
Leadership positions in couple clubs (including pre-opt.)
Top 50 University.
Bio-Chem Major w/ minor.

So my question is: should I apply now, or wait until the end of the semester? I can probably bring my GPA up to 3.0 (assuming I do good), but the semester doesn't end till Dec. 14th, so I probably wouldn't get the transcripts in until late December.

I guess what it comes down to is; apply now (a lil earlier in the rolling admissions), or apply later (late in the admissions), while trying to improve GPA. Thanks for the advice.

If I were you I would apply now, send in the apps completed with LOR's to follow. You worked with an optometrist for quite a while maybe they will give you an amazing LOR which will help!!!

I think it just might be too tough later on to compete for the few spots that are left.

Ultimately it is your call, so do what makes you feel comfortable and what makes sense to you.
