Hey Everyone, I'm just a little stressed about applying before having taken all of my prereqs..
The only ones I'm missing, but WILL be taking in my last year of undergrad before opt school are:

1. Ochem II
2. Microbiology
3. Inorganic chemistry II.. BUT, I don't know how this one works: I didn't like one of my grades in my inorganic classes so I'll be taking an upper level chem course to make up for one of the inorganic chems that I didn't do so well in.. so i kind of have the prereq and kind of dont, since i want to use the chem II course i will be taking instead of the one i didn't do so well in.

Will this prevent me from getting interviews/being accepted? Do adcoms want all of your prereqs taken before you apply?

Thanks 🙂

I'm applying to NECO, ICO, NOVA, Salus, Pacific, and SUNY by the way😳

dont think microbio is a pre-req for suny...however, i think you should probably take ochem II and gen chem II before you take the exam, unless your short on time.

Im pretty sure i even read have about 2 or 3 pre-reqs left...some schools even grant you a conditional acceptance if you apply early so long as you finish it by matriculation time.

Don't worry about it. Assuming your gen chem 2 grade was PASSING, you essentially only have 2 outstanding pre reqs. There wasn't a whole lot of organic II or micro material on the OAT-- it'd be worth getting some sort of review before the OAT, but don't stress.

They know many (if not most) people apply during their fourth year prior to graduation, so they don't expect everything to be done.

thanks you two! : )
You both always seem to be the first to answer my questions. Appreciate it 😍

The thing is, I'll be applying in my 3rd year.. will those with a bachelor's degree be favoured over me?
