Hello all!

I am currently applying to dental schools and was wondering, if you are planning to retake the DATs but are applying early, would they still consider your application if your DAT scores previously meet their requirement?

Or would they not look at your application until you have retaken the DAT? I only ask because UF has sent me an e-mail asking me stating, "We have received your application and it is currently in the review process. If you plan to retake the DAT exam, please notify us immediately of your plans. Otherwise, we will review your application with the current scores."

Does this mean if I reply yes, they would not be looking at my application until the DAT retake scores are in?

Thanks in advance!!

You have to contact each individual school and see what their policy is. Some will review your application only once and others will have continual review (will look at original DAT and retake). Looks like UF may be one of the schools that only reviews once, but you should call and doublecheck.
