Applying early for match programs

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to know how early should you apply to match programs? I mean I understand that the earlier they have your application the better it is but because of timing I won't be able to take the INBDE until late July so my application will be incomplete till then! How big of an impact is that going to have cause I'm kinda freaking out thinking I should have scheduled a lot earlier!😬

I applied last cycle and also didn't take boards until July. It doesn't matter. You still fill in the boards section as "plan on taking" or whatever, they don't really care. That will 'complete' your application. Now that boards are P/F, they really don't care when you pass, you just have to pass before matriculating in your new program.

The first interview invite I got was in August and that was considered pretty early (for ortho).
