I know this may sound like a silly question but I'm looking into applying to DO schools as well and i'm not sure how to go about it.. are they also part of AMCAS?... so i basically fill out one primary ap for both md/do and then send it off??..

Osteopathic schools do not use the AMCAS application, they use a seperate web application here: https://aacomas.aacom.org/ .

The nice part is that the applications are pretty much the same, so much so that you can just cut and paste most of your AMCAS app responses into the AACOM app (or vice versa).

Good luck with the applications.

"First Friend of Brasky: We once had a bachelor party for Brasky. He ate the entire cake.. before we could tell him there was a stripper in it..

Third Friend of Brasky: Brasky once hosted the Grammy's, and gave every award to Corey Hart!

Second Friend of Brasky: He has a toenail on the end of his penis!"

Thanks you so much 🙂 😀

Not sure if its the only one but TCOM in Fort Worth, TX participates in the Texas Medical & Dental School Application Service so its separate from the AACOMAS......i think all the other schools participate in AACOMAS.

FYI: This might have changed since I applied in 2000 but if you are interested in that school then its something to check on.

All the Texas medical schools whether allopathic or osteopathic use the TMDSAS form (including TCOM, who is the only osteopathic school that does not use the AACOM form, thanks for reminding me about that). If you want to apply to TCOM here is the TCOM website: http://www.utsystem.edu/tmdsas/

"Second Friend of Brasky: Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky took me out to go get a drink with him?

Third Friend of Brasky: I'm a convicted sex offender!

Second Friend of Brasky: [after a pause] Anyways, we go off lookin' for a bar and we can't find one. Finally, Brasky takes me into a vacant lot and says, "Here we are!" Well, we sat there for a year and a half. Sure enough, someone constructed a bar around us!

First Friend of Brasky: P. J. McGinty's!

Second Friend of Brasky: That's right, that's right! Well, the day they opened it, we ordered a shot, drank it and then burnt the place to the ground. Brasky yelled over the roar of the flames, "Always leave things the way you found them!"

Third Friend of Brasky: He was a terrible man!"
