I am going to be graduating in Spring. My schools offers a 4+1 program (which I am enrolled in ), where undergrad classes (certain ones) count for the masters program. But, the requirement is that you enroll the next semester in grad school, and continue the program. I dont have graduate standing at school. All I have is a guaranteed spot at the program, if I continue with my education toward a masters. It does say on my transcript "Major 4+1". I dont know if I should pull my standing so it doesn't say 4+1 on transcript. I just want a backup plan if med school doesn't work (which I dont think should be the issue ). I was told if I dont enroll the next semester after graduation, I lose my graduate school standing.

As long as you finish it prior to enrolling in medical school then you'll be fine.

If you will have a bachelor's degree after the four years, I think you would be fine. The requirement for you to have finished your master's or PhD program before entering medical school is more or less in place to keep medical schools from accidentally poaching students from other programs. Given the fact that you haven't technically entered the master's portion of the program yet, I get the feeling that you wouldn't need to do so before going to medical school. If you do start it though, you'll be obligated to finish before medical school.
