Applying for R positions in Anesthesia programs while working as a Hospitalist

Hi there! I have already completed a residency and am boarded in this specialty. I am currently in my first year of Fellowship training. If I were to leave Fellowship and begin working as a Hospitalist Attending, can I apply for an R position in Anesthesia or do you need to currently be in a residency program (ie: transferring subspecialties) in order to enter the match for an R position? Grateful for your guidance!

R positions are of anyone who has successfully completed at PGY-1 (intern) year.
