Hi quick question,

I definitely want to be licensed in NY and NJ but was wondering if applying for two states at once is or isn't a wise idea. Is there any reason why I SHOULDN'T apply for two (or even more) states at the same time? Just wondering if this causes any problems.

Doesn't matter. Just pass the national test and any state you want will take your money. You can hold multiple state licences at the same time.

The only reason you wouldn't want to is because it costs more but otherwise you can hold licenses in multiple states. Otherwise travel PT wouldn't be possible. I can't imagine the bureaucracy you have to deal with in NJ and NY.

you can have a license in all the states of the US if you want. it really doesn't matter. States don't talk to each other and they don't care. You can even apply at the same time, only is that it's gonna cost you as many times more as you apply.
