I have heard that UCLA adcom does not even look at applications until October. Does this mean as long as applicants submit their secondaries until early September, they will not have any disadvantage from submitting late?
why not do it at the same time?
UCLA is my FIRST choice. I feel like I need better score on DAT to increase my chance. And I have barely started studying.
You have more than enough time. Imo, September DAT (meaning you would have studied for 4 months) is an overkill. 2 to 2.5 months should be sufficient to get a good score.
I think it takes about a month for AADSAS to send out an application to school? So if I want it to arrive by mid-September, I would have to add UCLA to the list at least by mid-August?
Thank you very very much for the info. 😀
But, still no one got an idea on the main question?
"Will I get any disadvantage for applying to UCLA late?" (like in late August or in early September)

I had my AADSAS sent late June and took my DAD Aug 15, so my app was complete with official DAT score mid September. You should be ok with applying late, but I don't know why you wouldn't submit AADSAS early, either way you'll have to include your first score right?
When did UCLA send you a personal history form or a postcard? Was it after you took the DAT? Or was it right after the initial submission in June?
I'm curious about this because completing the secondary form will take another month.
They selectively send out their secondaries, I got mine in July before my DAT.
