I have a quick question. Does anybody know if there are disadvantages for applying both MD and DO. I suppose No but at the same time i keep hearing about this central processing system available to schools that give them an overview of where and statues of your application.
What experiences have you guys had or having and can u pls share with some of us confused soul.

MCAT comes out in octobers right?

I doubt it will be an issue, unless you cannot come up with a decent excuse on why you would be interested in doing either.

I applied to all MDs and only one DO, because in TX the DO school is included in the system along with all the others. Very few people choose NOT to apply to this DO school as well as the others.

Okay, so my advice might not be the best, but I'm sure there are other SDNers who are applying through both systems (AMCAS and AACOMAS).

What about using the same personal statement for both?

AACOMAS (the do application service) has a character limit of about 4500 characters IIRC. So as long as you didn't write 5300 for AMCAS, you can.
