I graduated from undergrad with a bs in bio and 3.3 gpa last year, should I focus on retaking classes or getting experience? Right now i'm working as a retail tech fulltime, i'm either gonna retake classes or volunteer at the local va pharmacy. I volunteered at a hospital a couple years, what should I focus on?

Are you applying this cycle? It is good that you are getting experience in retail. A 3.3GPA is pretty good (not that competitive) but good and well above the minimum for some schools. What classes are you considering retaking? Did you get C's or something? Volunteering always helps your application and you would probably enjoy volunteering somewhere like the VA. I do suggest you do that.

I am applying for 2011 cycle in june, waitlisted this year sigh. I mostly have b's, my only c was in vertebrate anatomy and I do not think I can get an A in it, my current thinking is there's not much room to retake classes now that i'm working fulltime, i just need to get as much exp as possible.

I would not retake B's...experience is going to make your application MUCH stronger so I would stick with the job and the volunteering. Additionally, what is your PCAT score? Is it competitive? If not, then you might want to consider retaking it.

I'm trying for cali schools next year, so I'm not gonna worry about the pcat for now.
