Hi. I'm an IMG and I decided to do research instead of applying for Internal Medicine. Could you please send me your program list and advises for NEXT YEAR? Here are my credentials:
Step 1: 93/224
2CK: 92/222
2CS: Passed
USCE: 5 months externship
LORs: 3
All 1st attempt. Please! I hope you send them at least AFTER the MATCH.
e-mail: [email protected]

Thank you in advance! 🙂

Your stats are competitive for IM. However, it depends on where you apply and what geographical location you are looking at. IMG status may or may not help you, depending on where you apply. It varies by program. Many IM programs post on their website what their score cut offs are for IMGs, but generally it is >90%. You are fine on both. Also be careful with the externship, because I do know some programs that require 6 months.

Just to thwart a very common misconception...
The two digit score is neither a percent nor a percentile. There should be no '%' following the digits.
