So here's my situation...

I have a 4.0 GPA and a 30 (PS-11 VR-08 BS-11). My ECs are good and I'm a Louisiana resident. I wanted to apply this cycle but I missed the deadline for my committee's letter of recommendation :scared:. While looking through MSAR, I found that it said that the letter from your committee is required at many schools. My questions are these:

1.) Should I not apply this cycle and wait for next year so that I can get a committee letter?

2.) If I do apply, how much will this hurt my application?

3.) Will I be automatically rejected bc I dont have a letter from my pre-med comittee?

Thanks in advance!

my school had a deadline for the committee too but it was essentially imaginary. tell them you had personal reasons and just hand your sht in.

you don't need a committee letter to get in but I am pretty sure they will still write you a rec.

1. I'd say it's still worth a shot this year. Not all schools require it though most want it.
2. Quite possibly, but I'd assume that they'd ask why you didn't use the committee, first.
3. If the school requires a committee letter if you have one, maybe. They may give you a chance to explain, though. I'm really not sure.

Maybe you should call those schools you are applying to and anonymously ask. I think that'd be best. And do you go to LSU? I know the committee deadline was today.
