so I studied from January to may and got a 28 (9 PS 9 VR 10 BS) on the MCAT. I already submitted all my secondaries and decided not to retake the MCAT this cycle, so that my application wouldn't be delayed. My application is strong except for my low MCAT score. I want to retake the MCAT next year in case I have to reapply. My questions are when should I start studying for it again? When should I retake it? At what point during this cycle is it a safe assumption that I won't get in anywhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

If the rest of your application is strong and you've picked enough schools (15-20?) within your range I'd wager you'll probably get in somewhere.

However, if I were you and it was getting to be late February without any offers... I'd start studying again and sign up for an late spring/early summer test date. If you get waitlisted... still start studying.

Best of luck!
