I am applying for psych and just heard about a couple other programs that seem really good. Do you think it is a waste of $ to add them to my application at this point?

Probably yes. At this point, they may be done looking at applications and your very late app suggests that you're not seriously considering them. I'd consider emailing them to see if they are still considering applications. Or, apply and see what happens -- it's only $$$.
