i know this has been discussed before but just wanted some clarification....i am applyin for rads this fall but am also interested in anesthesia so will be using that as my backup. The problem is i am applying to a lot of programs at the same hospital. I assume if i get interviews to both at the same hospital i would probably have to cancel one in case the other program sees me walkin around on an interview but does it hurt to just aply to both and see who sends interviews? Or is that even a bad idea in case the other programs find out and think i am not 100% committed (which is unrealistic when it comes to competitive specialties like rads where matching is nowhere near guaranteed)

Apply to both.

I wouldn't cancel one just on the basis of getting interviews for both programs. Maybe someone will see you, maybe they won't. But have an answer prepared in case you get asked (ie, back-up plan, or they saw you walking around).

Depends on your level of comfort with risk - which is worse: applying to fewer programs or potentially being seen as non-committed?
