Hi Everyone,
I am applying to Osteopathic Medical Schools for Fall 2009, I just took the MCAT on July 8th and waiting for my results but I am not sure if I did very good so I might take it again in Aug, which means I would receive my scores in Sept. Would I be applying late? When do they considered someone as a late applicant?
And approximatly what is the lowest MCAT scores that is taken?

1. You would be "not early," but I don't think you'd be "late" quite yet. This is assuming you'd have your AACOMAS application submitted long before then, and you check out the secondary thread and get all of your secondaries done before they're sent to you.

2. I don't know the rest of your app, but you would ideally want at least a 25 to be around the average. People are accepted quite often with 22+, but below that you are more likely to be wasting time and money on apps when you should be remediating your MCAT abilities and possibly plan to apply the following year. How were your practice tests? Are you studying correctly? What are you doing to prepare for August? Is that enough time? You don't want to take it again without putting in some serious work and being assured you will improve.

Hope that helps.
