It is not your time that you would be wasting, it is your money.
Let me run a quick timeline for you
TODAY: you submit your primary
4-6 weeks from now: Primary is verified and sent to schools. Schools look at primary, see you don't have an MCAT score so they put it in the "wait for test score pile."
January 28, you take your MCAT. Score come in about 4 weeks.
Late February: score come in... They are amazing... 38+ You are on top of the world...
No school sends you a secondary because their class is full and the last interviews are in March, and they have been booked solid with people since January.
March comes around. You with no interviews. You are sad. All the money for primaries, and any secondaries that you spent is for nothing.
Now it is June, and when you apply, you pay all that money again, and you mark that you are a re-applicant. 🙁 <--- you are sad again.
The good news is that you are able to apply in June, and have the whole application year anxiety next year. Hopefully your MCAT is good, and you have a good enough GPA. If your MCAT is not good enough, at least you can sign up for another one before June and study your butt off.
Start planning what you will do with your gap year (now until May of 2014). Graduate (or not), work, study, classes, travel, volunteer, shadowing, sit on your butt and pick your nose... make it good because you will probably be asked about it.
I hope I was a little more clear for you.
TL;DR do not waste your time/money
