I'm going to be a freshmen in college this fall, and I'm considered International (H visa) my permenant residency is in process.. med schools here wont take intl students, so my question was..what if at the time i apply im still considered international and still in process..what options do I have?

thanks for help!!
😕

hmm..thanks for the reply
are you positive on this?

yes
most private, non-state med schools and dental schools do take international students. However, paying for it is the real problem (you cannot get government loans, at least not until you get the residency). Obtaining residency might take longer than you expect so don't assume anything when you apply.

I see..thanks..
but lets say someone has permanent residency they are treated like us citizen, right? I mean..like they can get financial aid etc?

If you're a permanent resident, everything is peachy and you're at the same level as US citizens.

🙂 Thanks for helping out everyone.
